It can help to talk things over with someone.
Counselling gives you an opportunity to talk with someone in confidence, to work out why you are feeling as you do, to break out of unhelpful patterns and to find your own ways of coping better with the situations that face you. I provide a safe, calm, non-judgemental space in which we can explore what is going on for you.
I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor and an intersubjective psychotherapist. This means that I am not tied to one model of therapy, but combine aspects of several models, to fit the needs of each client.
I work with individual adults aged 18+, but I’m afraid I do not work with children, couples or families.
Counselling sessions take place at the same place and time, usually every week, and whatever is said during the 60 minutes is confidential. We might agree to work together for a few weeks and then review it. Longer term counselling might be open ended, depending on your needs. I only offer face-to-face sessions and these take place in my therapy room on the Tuesday Market Place, King’s Lynn.

I’m sorry, but I am not currently taking on new clients.

In addition to my private practice, I supervise at a local centre in West Norfolk that provides long-term support to adults and families who have mental health, social or emotional difficulties that affect daily living. I also work with employee assistance programmes to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their work performance, health, and well-being.
I adhere to both the UKCP and the BACP ethical frameworks.
