Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation. As counsellors and psychotherapists ourselves, we know how important it is that this is recognised when seeking the right coaching course to add to our existing repertoire.
To this end we have mapped the BACP and UKCP competencies against those of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) competencies. By doing this, we are able to acknowledge and validate your prior learning and experience to satisfy EMCC that you qualify to enter a Senior Practitioner level course. Our course then provides the additional tools, techniques, learning and skills practice required to obtain the qualification of Senior Practitioner without having to go over old ground or deliver content with which you are overly familiar.
The entrance eligibility requirements
You need to be at least ONE of the following:
- An accredited or registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
- A registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
- A chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
If you not a member of a professional body listed here, but would still like to apply, we will ask you to complete a form that will allow you to map the competencies of your member organisation against the EMCC competencies. We will then discuss this with you and assess your eligibility.
